Get Squared Away With Personal Financial Counseling

Money management can be a sensitive topic to discuss, but effectively organizing and understanding your finances is important to your family’s future. Luckily, you don’t have to navigate the process by yourself. Military and Family Life Counseling Program counselors are uniquely trained to understand military life and the financial challenges many service members face.

Personal financial counselors can offer strategies to support positive financial behaviors and help you with topics like:

  • Creating a budget
  • Setting financial goals
  • Consolidating debt
  • Purchasing a home or car
  • Saving and investing

Financial counseling is free to active-duty, National Guard and reserve service members, their families and survivors. Counselors have flexible working hours to fit into your schedule — even during the evening and weekends — and are trained to introduce school-age children to saving and spending through interactive approaches. Personal financial counselors are available on a rotational, surge and on-demand basis in various locations worldwide.
