Education Directory for Children With Special Needs

Finding the information needed to make informed decisions about education and early intervention services for family members with special needs just got easier. The Department of Defense's Education Directory for Children With Special Needs contains general information about early intervention and special education services available on or near installations for the 50 states and the District of Columbia.

The directory has two components:

  • The Early Intervention Directory, focusing on early intervention services for children from birth through age 3
  • The School-Age Directory, focusing on education services for children, ages 3 through 21, with special needs
  • In addition to the state-specific information and resources provided, both directories offer valuable information and tips, such as Tools for a Smooth Transition, that all families can use as they relocate to a new duty station within the United States.
