DoD Directive 1030.01, "Victim and Witness Assistance," April 13, 2004, certified as current April 23, 2007 This Directive updates DoD policies and responsibilities for providing assistance to victims and witnesses of crimes committed in violation of the Uniform Code of Military Justice and provides guidance for assisting victims and witnesses of crime from initial contact through investigation, prosecution, and offender confinement.

DoD Directive 6495.01, "Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) Program," January 23, 2012, Incorporating Change 1, April 30, 2013 This Directive reissues DoD Directive (DoDD) 6495.01 (Reference (a)), pursuant to section 113 of title 10, United States Code (U.S.C.) (Reference (b)), to implement DoD policy and assign responsibilities for the SAPR Program on prevention, response, and oversight to sexual assault.

DoD Instruction 6495.02, "Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) Program Procedures," March 28, 2013, Incorporating Change 1, Effective February 12, 2014 This Instruction implements policy, assigns responsibilities, provides guidance and procedures, and establishes the Sexual Assault Advisory Council (SAAC) for the DoD Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Program.

Directive-Type Memorandum (DTM) 11-062, "Document Retention in Cases of Restricted and Unrestricted Reports of Sexual Assault" December 16, 2011, Incorporating Change 2, December 7, 2012 This DTM Establishes DoD policy on the retention of certain sexual assault records pertaining to service members who report being victims of sexual assault.

Directive-Type Memorandum (DTM) 11-063, "Expedited Transfer of Military Service Members Who File Unrestricted Reports of Sexual Assault" December 16, 2011, Incorporating Change 2, December 7, 2012 This DTM establishes policy and procedures to expedite the transfer of a Service member who files an Unrestricted Report of sexual assault in accordance with Reference (a).
