Veterans Affairs Bereavement Counseling

The VA Vet Centers provides bereavement counseling to eligible surviving spouses, children or parents of service members who died while serving the country.

Bereavement counseling assists and supports people going through emotional and psychological stress following the death of a loved one. It includes a broad range of transition services — including outreach, counseling and referral services for family members.
