Overview

The Center for Parent Information and Resources, a function of the U.S. Department of Education, is a central hub of information and products created for the network of parent centers serving families of children with disabilities. The CPIR Resource Library contains articles, fact sheets, training materials, webinars and videos on key disability and education topics.

About parent centers

The nearly 100 Parent Training and Information Centers and Community Parent Resource Centers in the United States and territories:

  • Work with families of infants, toddlers, children and youth with disabilities, birth to age 26
  • Help parents participate effectively in their children’s education and development
  • Partner with professionals and policymakers to improve outcomes for all children with disabilities
