The U.S. Coast Guard will once again be operating the PCS Assist Team to provide additional moving support for Coast Guard service members and their families relocating during the 2022 peak moving season. In addition to working with your local transportation office, moving customers are welcome to contact the call center with moving related questions or concerns.

If you have orders for a temporary duty or permanent change of station move, it is recommended that you contact your local U.S. Coast Guard Transportation Office as soon as you receive your orders for help arranging your move. The local transportation office will be able to help you schedule your move and deal with the more complicated entitlements and accounting procedures that are typically associated with a military relocation. The following is a list of additional contacts that can also assist with specific concerns and/or general moving questions:

Retired U.S. Coast Guard members’ requests for extension of the time limitation for shipment of household goods, or HHG, must be approved by the Military Pay and Compensation Division, or CG-1332. A request for an extension must be received no earlier than 90 days prior to the expiration date of the one year time limit.
